About the Author(s)

Jacquelyn Rhine Marshall - for 35 years, has been a medical professional; a medical careers instructor for Regional Occupational Programs, California; a medical writer; and a consultant/writer for the Center for Occupational Research and Development in Austin, Texas. Ms. Marshall has authored several textbooks and written medical course curriculum for the state of California. She has also developed several instructor guides and has edited or contributed to three medical series. Ms. Marshall holds degrees from the University of California, Berkeley; California State University, Hayward; and Notre Dame de Namur University.

Sue Roe - Dr. Sue Roe is the principal and senior practice consultant of The Roe Group Enterprises, LLC for over 25 years. Her major focus is on innovative initiatives and programs in the areas of workforce development and enrichment, leadership, holistic practice, competency-based and core curriculum, assessment, and instructional design. She has developed nursing assistant training and continuing education programs and supervised nursing assistant programs at the high school level. She is the current President of the Homeopathic Nurses Association and chair of the University of Arizona College of Nursing Dean’s Strategic Advisory Council. Dr. Roe has diverse administrative experience and is an invited speaker at conferences locally and across the country. She has developed workplace initiatives and academic programs in nursing, allied health, business, and research and has taught for over 35 years at a variety of universities and colleges. She has a doctorate in health policy and administration, graduate level work in education, and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing.
