About Author(s)

Z. A. Prust - retired as Professor Emeritus after having taught for over 40 years. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin—Stout, a master's degree from the University of Minnesota, and a doctoral degree from the University of Northern Colorado. He co-owned Rock Ledge Printing Service in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. His teaching career included teaching Graphic Communications at the junior high school, high school, and university levels. He spent 27 years at Arizona State University and retired as the Associate Director of the Division of Technology and Coordinator of the Graphic Communications program within the College of Engineering and Applied Science. After retiring from ASU, he incorporated and was the Executive Director of the Printing Industries Association, Inc., of Arizona. His awards include the Ben Franklin Society of the Printing Industries of America; the Fred J. Hartman Award and the Elmer G. Voigt Award from the International Graphic Arts Education Association; the Award of Excellence from the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation; Distinguished Achievement Award and Award of Recognition from Arizona State University; and the French Legion of Honor Medal. He has served as chair and member of many local, regional and national professional and social groups. In addition to Graphic Communications, Prust has authored several textbooks as well as articles in professional publications. Two awards have been given in his name since he retired: the Z. A. (Zeke) Prust Award of Recognition at Arizona State University and the Z. A. Prust Industry Achievement Award, Printing Industries Association, Inc., of Arizona.
