Subject: HVAC-R
Grade Level: 9-14
Essential Electrical Skills for HVACR: Theory and Labs delivers focused instruction and hands-on application of electricity and controls to prepare students for a successful career in HVACR. This first edition, essential electrical text/lab manual provides a review of core electrical concepts and a deeper exploration into the concepts through integrated hands-on labs to master application and comprehension. This text serves as supplemental electrical material for use with Modern Refrigeration and Air Conditioning as part of an HVACR curriculum.
  • Write-in text with perforated sheets to allow instructors to assign end-of-chapter questions and lab activities and have students turn in assignments.
  • Focused electrical material broken down into short, digestible chapters for students to learn, apply, and evaluate their comprehension before moving onto the next topic.
  • A theory section, introducing a specific electrical concept, precedes a detailed lab section that allows students to apply their learning by performing and completing hands-on electrical tasks.
  • Labs covered in each chapter are progressive, providing students with the practice to master basic tasks, such as reading schematics or using wiring tools, that they will build upon in later chapters.
