Preparing a vehicle for customer delivery begins with an overall check of the vehicle to verify the customer concern was addressed and repaired properly. This may require a road test. If it does, you should drive the vehicle under the same conditions as when the problem was occurring. Next, check to make sure that the climate control, seats and radio have the same settings as when the vehicle arrived. Clean off any grease or dirt from all of the interior surfaces including the seats, steering wheel, carpets and door trim panels. Also inspect the outside of the vehicle for any damage, dirt, or grease. When the vehicle is picked up, the service advisor should go over the repair order with the customer to describe what work was done and explain the charges.
