FAQ list > How can I provide feedback to students directly in their submitted Assignment PDF files?

 
Navigate to and select the Assignment you wish to grade.

Select the View/grade all submissions link.

Locate the student whose file you wish to grade. Locate the Edit column.

Select the Edit link for options.

Select Grade or Update grade (if the assignment had been previously graded).

Scroll down the page and select Launch PDF editor.

The student’s PDF submission will display with a number of tools available for use in annotating the file.

Page Navigation
  1. Select the Forward and Back arrows to navigate between pages.
  2. Select the Page number access links to each page within the PDF.

Stamps
  1. Select the Current stamp button to view and select the stamp you would like to use.
  2. Select the Stamp button to activate the tool.
  3. With the tool activated, click the location on the page where you would like to apply the stamp.

Comments
  1. Select the Comment color button to view and select the background color you would like to use for your comment.
  2. Select the Comment button to activate the tool.
  3. With the tool activated, click and drag your mouse to draw a box for the comment. Enter your comment in the box.
  4. To delete a comment, select the menu in the top right corner of the box and then select Delete comment.

Drawing
  1. Select the Annotation color button to view and select the color for the tools.
  2. Select the Pen button to activate the tool.
  3. Select the Line button to activate the tool.
  4. Select the Rectangle button to activate the tool.
  5. Select the Oval button to activate the tool.
  6. Select the Highlight button to activate the tool.
  7. With any of the tools activated, click and drag your mouse to add that item to the page.

Deleting Annotations
  1. Select the Select button to activate the Selection tool.
  2. Click on any of the Stamp or Drawing tools annotations. Select the Delete button to remove it from the page.

When you are finished making annotations, select the Close button in the upper-right corner.

Select Save changes to save your annotations.
